Jein-Shan Chen (陳界山)

I am currently a Professor at Mathematics Department of National Taiwan Normal University, from where I received my B.Sc. and M.Sc. in 1990 and 1993, respectively. In fall of 1997, I attended Mathematics Department of UCLA to pursue my Ph.D. degree. I only stayed one year over there and transferred to Mathematics Department, University of Washington in fall of 1998, where I spent six years to study with Prof. Paul Tseng in Optimization. My research area is mainly in continuous optimization with side interests in nonsmooth analysis and operations research. To know more about me, please see my profiles.
